A studio for the quietly underrated.
Kerne exists for one kind of business: the established, the genuinely good, the ones worth more than their market believes. We close the gap between what they are and what they are seen to be.
Kerne exists for one kind of business: the established, the genuinely good, the ones worth more than their market believes. We close the gap between what they are and what they are seen to be.
Being good is no longer enough. Being seen to be good is the work.
A business can be excellent and still lose. The market does not reward the best, it rewards the best understood. Most owners pour everything into the product and almost nothing into the perception of it, then wonder why the work goes to someone they know they are better than. That gap, between the quality and the impression, is where the value leaks out. Closing it is the entire job.

I am David. I started Kerne because I kept seeing the same thing: good businesses, run by capable people, losing work they should have won. Not because of the work. Because of how the work was understood before anyone got close enough to judge it.
The fix is rarely more. More noise, more output, more reach. It is usually less, said better. That takes an outside eye, because the people inside a business are too close to see how it reads from the outside.
Some of that means saying things you will not enjoy hearing. That is usually the moment the work starts earning its fee.
A watchmaker, not a weapon.
We are not an agency that makes more, and not a consultancy that only advises. We sit between the two. We diagnose what is wrong with how you are seen, then we build the fix: brand, website and words, made to behave as one.
Most studios quote months. We work in weeks. Not by cutting corners, but because the method is fixed, the scope is settled, and we take on a small number of businesses at a time. Focus is the whole reason for the speed.
The market judges the impression before it judges the work. We start there.
We remove what is in the way before we add anything. Subtraction is the harder, more valuable craft.
We tell you what your market actually sees, even when it stings. A flattering audit is a useless one.
A system that depends on you propping it up by hand is not finished. We build what stays standing.
Everything we make, you own. We are here to fix what is wrong and hand it over, not to keep you dependent on us.
If you suspect you are better than you look: we should talk.
